1. Emergency Alerting Service

ALICE Gunshot Detection Solutions provides gunshot detection, event notification, monitoring, verification, and Assisted Response™ services designed to support faster awareness and response during potential emergency events.

The system may send alerts related to:

• Active shooter events
• Gunshot detection events
• Verified or unverified threat events
• Test alerts
• System status notifications
• Monitoring center communications
• Account or administrative notices
• Device or service-related updates

2. No Guarantee of Prevention or Response

ALICE systems are designed to assist with detection, notification, verification, and response coordination. They do not prevent criminal acts, violence, injury, death, property damage, or emergency events.

ALICE Gunshot Detection Solutions does not guarantee:

• That every gunshot or threat will be detected
• That every alert will be delivered or received
• That first responders will respond within any specific time
• That a threat will be verified in every circumstance
• That use of the system will prevent injury, loss, or damage
• That wireless, internet, cellular, SMS, email, power, or third-party networks will operate without interruption

The services are intended to supplement, not replace, emergency planning, law enforcement, security personnel, facility procedures, 911 calls, or other safety protocols.

3. Emergency Procedures

In an emergency, users should call 911 or follow their organization's emergency procedures.

Do not rely solely on ALICE text messages, application alerts, monitoring notifications, or system communications as your only source of emergency information.

4. SMS/Text Message Consent

By providing your mobile phone number and opting in, you consent to receive SMS/text messages from ALICE Gunshot Detection Solutions related to emergency alerts, active shooter events, gunshot detection events, system notifications, testing, account notices, and safety-related communications.

Message frequency varies.

Message and data rates may apply.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing goods or services unless text messaging is required as part of a specific emergency notification service you choose to use.

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP, CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, OPTOUT, or by otherwise contacting us with a reasonable opt-out request. You may reply HELP for help.

5. Effect of Opting Out

If you opt out of SMS/text messages, you may no longer receive emergency text alerts from ALICE Gunshot Detection Solutions.

You acknowledge and agree that opting out may limit your ability to receive active shooter, gunshot detection, system, or safety-related notifications.

6. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate contact information
• Keep your mobile number and account information current
• Use the system only for lawful and authorized purposes
• Not interfere with system operation or security
• Not attempt to access accounts, devices, or data without authorization
• Follow your organization's safety policies and emergency procedures
• Immediately notify ALICE or your account administrator of incorrect contact information, suspected misuse, or unauthorized access

7. Authorized Users

Access to app.AliceGDS.com may be limited to authorized users, customers, administrators, responders, monitoring personnel, or approved contacts.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

8. Testing and Training Alerts

The system may generate test alerts, training alerts, maintenance notifications, or administrative messages. Test alerts should not be treated as actual emergency events unless clearly indicated otherwise.

Customers and administrators are responsible for notifying users when scheduled testing or training may occur.

9. System Availability

We work to maintain reliable service, but the system may be unavailable, delayed, interrupted, or degraded due to:

• Internet outages
• Cellular or SMS carrier delays
• Power failures
• Device malfunction
• Maintenance
• Cybersecurity events
• Third-party service failures
• Weather or disaster conditions
• User configuration errors
• Facility network issues
• Events beyond our reasonable control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by third-party networks, carriers, service providers, public safety systems, or infrastructure outside our control.

10. Monitoring Services

If monitoring services are enabled, alerts may be reviewed or handled by ALICE Monitoring Center personnel or authorized monitoring partners.

Monitoring services do not replace 911, law enforcement, emergency medical services, fire services, on-site security, or a customer's own emergency response procedures.

11. Customer Configuration

The accuracy and effectiveness of alerts may depend on proper installation, account setup, contact lists, device placement, system configuration, network connectivity, testing, and maintenance.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that emergency contacts, locations, floor plans, device names, site information, and user permissions are accurate and current.

12. Intellectual Property

All software, interfaces, logos, branding, documentation, designs, text, graphics, technology, workflows, trademarks, service marks, and related materials are owned by or licensed to ALICE Gunshot Detection Solutions.

You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, distribute, sell, or exploit any part of the system without written permission.

13. Prohibited Use

You may not use the system to:

• Send false emergency reports
• Harass, threaten, or mislead others
• Interfere with emergency response
• Attempt unauthorized access
• Disrupt or overload the system
• Circumvent security measures
• Violate applicable laws or regulations
• Misrepresent your identity or authority

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

The services are provided on an "as available" and "as provided" basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ALICE Gunshot Detection Solutions disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ALICE Gunshot Detection Solutions shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, including loss of life, personal injury, property damage, lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or damages arising from delayed, missed, failed, inaccurate, or undelivered alerts.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit liability where such limitation is prohibited by law.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ALICE Gunshot Detection Solutions, its officers, employees, contractors, agents, partners, and affiliates from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the services, violation of these Terms, unauthorized access, inaccurate information, or violation of applicable law.

17. Changes to Services

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any portion of the services at any time, including features, alerts, integrations, monitoring tools, or account access.

18. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the services after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
